In the north many religous groups tried hard too end slavery. They opposed of someone "owning" someone els. Southeners thought that it was okay for them too own slaves. They thought that South Americans didn't mean anything and that they could force them too work in there fields. -
Unfair Taxation

The southerners felt that the state was not treaking them right because they were passing laws without any of the consent. They also felt that indevigual states should be allowed to seperate from the United States and become there own country. -
The Election of Abraham Lincoln
When Lincoln was elected slaved holding states thought that he would abolish slaver. Abraham was a republicon because he opposed slavery. Abraham Lincoln tried his hardest too stop slavery, and after so long he went too war witht hte south. -
The Underground Railroad
The Underground Railroad was a place that helped slaves escaped. Sometimes when people went too retrieve the slaves where beaten by the people in the underground railroad.
