President Snow's Visit
President Snow, the main leader of the cuntry of Panem, visits Katniss's, house. The two of them have a discussion of how Katniss must appear very loving to her so-called lover Peeta or have all her loved ones executed. President Snow perfroms this gesture in order to manipulate Katniss into an attempt to subdue the rebellious citizens. -
Start of the Tour
Katniss, with new threats by Snow, begins her Victory Tour along with fellow vicotorious tribute Peeta Mellark. On the train she dines on extravagant meals and confines in her mentor, Haymitch Abernathy about her current situation. -
Stop at District 11
During the immediate stop at Distirct 11 of the Vctory Tour, Katniss and Peeta perform a speech in which they remember the fallen tributes of Distirct 11 and give away part of their fortunes to the families of the tributes. This causes a seemigly unified manner in District 11's crowd and results in a few citizens getting killed. Katniss then also relents her sistuation to Peeta as well. -
The Party
Near the end of the Victory Tour, Katniss, Peeta, Haymitch, and their entourage join a party at the Capitol as one of thier last stops of the Victory Tour. Katniss is nearly choking herself on worries, yet she tries to enjoy herself with food. She also ponders on how many are starving yet manny in the Capitol wate food, Finally, she is visited by the new Head Gamemaker, Plutarch Heavensbee and is shown a strange watch with her mockingjay symbol and a statement, "It starts at midnight." -
The Whipping
Soon after Katniss's Victory Tour comes to an end, Katniss meets with her firend Gale and converses with him briefly. She then finds him getting whipped by the new Head Peacekepper, Romulus Thread. She is extremely angered by this and very, very, pained to see one of her best friends in a nearly mortal condition. -
The New Friends
On an illegal journey in the woods to a lake, Katniss finds herself in an encounter with two citizens from another District, which happens to be District 8. Their names are Bonnie and Twill, two females in which Bonnie has a twisted ankle. They also happen to tell Katniss about how they have recently escaped from an uprising in their District while Katniss does all she can to help their situation. Katniss then bids farewell, never to see them ever again. -
The 75th Quarter Quell
One night as Katniss and her family and friends are watching television, the Quarter Quell, or the celebration that the Capitol add to the Hunger Games every twenty-five years as an anniversary to the Capitol's victory over the rebels, is announced. Presdient Snow states that the former vicotrs will be drwn for entrance to the games, whcih will automatically result in Katniss's return to the games. -
Entrance into the Arena
After a few weeks of worry and a goal to keep her firend Peeta alive at the Games at all costs, Katniss heads into the arena with added worry as her tylist and friend, Cinna, is beaten to a near fatal state. As she acends, she also finds the arena made of water, seeming to "douse her flames" as the Girl on Fire. -
The Last Choice
After many life-threatning situations in the arena, Katniss, along with many of her allies, decide to create a trap that would eliminate their opponenets, involving lightning and the conduction of a wire. However, Katniss is then drawn into a situation of confusion where she finally has the seemingly senseful to try to destroy the actually enemy (the Capitol) with a shot of an arrow. -
The Final Cliffhanger
After her final decision in the arena, Katniss blacks out and finds herself in a clean room. She later discovers that there was a plan known by several districts to retrive her from the arena and take her to a new District, 13. However, her firend Peeta was not taken along with her, causing Katniss to feel empty. She also learns that her family survived a bombing of her home, District 12, and that District 12 no longer exsists.
