  • Castlegate Launch

    CG launches with two warehouses in Utah and Kentucky as well as 3rd party owned cross-docks.

  • Coastal Expansion - CA

    CG launches warehouse in Perris CA. They also add last-mile delivery locations (WDN). First location in Boston. 1M SF of space.

  • Coastal Expansion - NJ

    CG opens warehouse in Cranbury, NJ. WDN now has 6 hubs in major metro areas. 6% of small parcel revenue runs through CG.

  • British Invasion

    CG launches facility in Lutterworth, UK. CG now has 5M SF of space.

  • Castlegate as a Promotional Driver

    Castlegate has 45% of seasonal home decor forward-deployed in its warehouses. Wayfair runs 5 for $25 ornament promotion with entire assortments eligible for 2-day delivery. Wayfair continues to use theis strategy for all major events moving forward.

  • Southern Incursion

    Castlegate opens warehouse and last-mile hub in Atlanta, GA. CG now has 6M SF of space. 10% of small parcel revenue runs through CG.

  • Adios, Salt Lake

    Wayfair ceases warehouse operations in Salt Lake at some point in the first half of 2017.

  • Continued Expansion

    CG offers freight pickup service, allowing them to better collect supplier inventory. Expands WDN to 12 facilities adding Houston, San Francisco, Greensboro, Detroit, and Baltimore. 14% of small parcel revenue runs through CG. CG has 7.5M SF of warehouse space.

  • New Jersey Expansion

    Wayfair opens additional warehouse in New Jersey. 19% of small parcel revenue runs through CG.

  • Castlegate Deutsche

    Castlegate opens facility in Kassel, Germany.

  • Wayfair Delivery Network Growth

    Wayfair opens 10 additional last-mile facilities including New Orleans and Harrisburg. 22 facilities total.

  • International Focus

    Wayfair obtains an NVOCC as well as licences from the Chinese Ministry of Transport and the Canadien Border Services Agency. This enables them to import, export, and control freight coming into their facilities. Pilot is expanded to broader range of suppliers. 65% of volume into CG is container-direct.

  • Dallas HQ2

    CG opens 99K SF in Dallas, Texas. Last-mile facilities are added in Minneapolis and Seattle.

  • Canada, eh?

    CG opens 800K SF outside of Toronto, Ontario. 80% of volume into CG is now container-direct.

  • Current CG Footprint

    CG opens two 1M SF locations in Savannah, GA, and the UK. Wayfair now operates 15M SF of space across 13 warehouses. 39 WDN hubs are now active. 26% of small parcel and 14% of large parcel flow through CG.

  • Future Plans

    Wayfair plans to open 2M SF of space in Lathrop, CA and Jacksonville, FL. Wayfair is continuing to explore consolidation points in China and Vietnam.
