After Josep Batlló's death, the house belonged to the family for at least 20 years. -

The famous Chamartin animation studios set up their Barcelona office in Casa Batlló. -

In 1995 the family opened the house to society and presented this architectural jewel to the world, offering the space for events. -

From this year, the main floor of the building can be visited. It's also the International Year of Gaudí. -

Today, Casa Batlló is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an icon of Barcelona, an essential stop to learn about Gaudí's work and modernism. -

ONE OF THE SEVEN WONDERS OF BARCEOLONA'S CULTURAL HERITAGE
Casa Batlló was chosen through a competition initiated by the Capital of Catalan Culture Organization.
A winner in each region was then selected by popular vote. It was voted on by the general public on May 30, 2007.
