Career Timeline

  • Before 9th Grade

Before you get in 9th grade, you have to choose the classes you want near the end of 8th grade. Once you chose the computer and technology class you want to be in, then you will have a high chance of getting in it. If the class is full, then it will put you in a class like that.
  • August

The class you will most likely have chosen if you were to be a web designer is probably introduction to digital technology. In this class you will learn a lot about digital citizenship and things about stuff online. You should also look into joining FBLA or other clubs like that because those will also teach you more about computers
  • September

Now that you are around 1 month in, you will know a decent amount of stuff on digital technology. Still probably not enough to create a website, but you will have acquired some new skills. You will need to continue using those skills, and you still have a lot to learn.
  • October

You will have probably created many things online by now and learned a lot of new stuff in two months, but this course still lasts for about two months and there is still a lot to learn.
  • November

You are now half way through the class and there is still more to learn. Just continue to study and remember what you can do.
  • December

This will be the final month of the intro to digital technology course if you got it for the first semester of school, depending if your school has a block schedule. This month will probably not teach you as many skills, but refine your current skills for next year when you take a class like this again.
  • Period: to

    Second Semester

In second semester, you will have to remember and use your skills even though you aren't in the class so you can remember and not lose them. When school ends you will have to choose your next classes for next year, and if you want to continue learning more about digital technology then you will choose a course that will teach you more skills and refine your current skills.
