  • Testicular Cancer Testing

There is a possibility for testicular cancer in men and if caught early it can help reduce the risk and is very important if I want kids. its recommended between 15 and 45. Testing is to make sure it feels correct.
  • Colon Cancer Testing

At or around 45 is when the average risk for colon cancer is and there are multiple test options. A colonoscopy is used to detect changes or abnormalities in the large intestine and rectum. Colonoscopy every 10 years starting at age 45. FOBT every year and colonoscopy is needed if results are positive. Flexible sigmoidoscopy every 5 to 10 years, usually with stool testing FOBT done every 1 to 3 years. Stop after age 75
  • Skin Cancer Testing

It is important to check if the UV radiation or other factor caused a malignant growth on the skin because if it is severe it will spread throughout the body and will decrease life expectancy and extensive surgery and chemo will be needed. It is important to check moles and other possible growths and if there is an idea or scare to go into the doctors to get it checked.
  • Prostate Cancer Testing

At age 50 for no prior risk, I would get a prostate exam because it is reportedly safer to get one and can help out in catching cancer earlier. It is not completely known what causes prostate cancer but preventing it will help because of screening often. It is very treatable in the early stages which are good to get checked early.
  • Lung Cancer Testing

At 55 it is recommended to get tested for lung cancer If you are a smoker, I would not smoke but if lung cancer is possible another way the test would include only low-dose computed tomography also called a low-dose CT scan. Screening is recommended only for adults who have no symptoms but are at high risk.
