The initial targets were factories, ports and air bases. It failed because of the saying keep calm and carry on which is what british citzens were doing.People living in london hid under subways and shelters.Hitler called off the attack and attacked the U.S.S.R. canadians contributed 80 pilots. -
Battle Of Hong Kong
was one of the first battles of the pacific. Canadians endured great hardship.290 lost lives and 493 wounded but canadians have recgonizsed their sacrafices and achievments. -

japenese canadians were treated unjustly and were kept inside internment camps. they were precived as spies and judged when had no support or evidence. this was not significant it was racist and anti semetic. -

this was significant because if satisfied Soviets, Americans and Canadians, it tested germans coastal defence and helped to plan the full scale invasion.if was foolish to attack a beach in daylight especially without being pulverized by ariel and naval bombandment. it wasnt a successfull surprise attack like planned -

D- Day was significant because it was the day Canada came in power and defeated the germans.Canadians were proud becuase they had the most succes in this war. it was well planned,executed and coordinated. The numbers were in our favour, we surprised hitler. The casualty rate wasnt as high as expected and we had support from our air force and navy.
