    SS. St Louis
    The SS St. Louis is a ship that was filled by jewish people who were mostly of a young age, their were on this ship to escape the wrath of the nazis, Canada declined the ship to allow the people on board to join Canada and sent them back to Germany. I belive that this is important because it shows that at some points of time we weren't seen as very welcoming and aceppting people that we are now.
  • Battle of the Alantic

    The longest continuous military campaign starting in 1939 and ending in 1945. This is significance because, The Battle of the Atlantic showed the importance of the supplies that Canada was importing.
  • Battle of Britain

    Battle of Britain
    The battle of Britain is an air force called the Second World War defence of the United Kingdom give by the Royal Air Force, they fought agansint the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) as they tried to gain air, there was no offical winner of the battle but since the germains had lost twice as many pilots the Canadiens assumed that they were vicorous. This is significance because, The Royal Air Forces were the first to beat Hitler and his reign of terror.
  • Japanese Internment

    Japanese Internment
    Force relocation of Japanese Canadiens between 110,000 and 120,000 people were forced into relocation durning WW2. They were only allowed what could stuff into two suit casres and what they could carry, everything that was left behind was sold. This is significance because, Japanese Interment left a black stain on Canada although the Japanese eventually got a formal apology forty years after the event had come to an end.

    Canadien goverment now allowed woman to join the CWAC woman were now allowed to join the army or the airforces. This is significance because, by allowing woman to join the CWAC this gave woman more freedom and a chance to escape their traditional roles and gave them even more reason to fight for more freedom over the things that they still weren’t allowed to do.

    The battle of Hong Kong also known as the defence and fall of Hong Kong(8-25 December 1941) This is significance because, The Battle of Hong Kong was a battle in which main were killed and the rest of the soldiers were captured after surrendering they were put into prisoner camps in which most of them died in the horrible treatment of the Canadians is still well remembered.
  • Dieppe Attack

    Dieppe Attack
    A Raid that caused a massive amount of unnessacry bloodshed, the canadaiens were deafeated by the Germains by a landslide since they saw the ships coming in the middle of the night all they had to do was wait and mow them down as they arrived on the beach. This is significance because, The Dieppe Attack taught Canadians about what type of approaches probably would backfire and the tragic event was a lesson learned that was sure not to be repeated.
  • D-Day

    D-Day
    On the 6 of June the year of 1944 Canadiens they landed and completed the operations given, there were very few fatalies and D-Day is known for its success. This is important since it was so success full and was a turning point of the war.
