Since its creation in 1945, Canada has been an active member in the United Nations program. Their goal is " to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person." Because of this goal, United Nations, and Canda, are very important in the protection of human rights. -

United Nations countries signed the declaration of human rights in 1948, to recognize that all humans have rights, natural rights, and freedoms. This brought the attention to the fact that all humans have rights that should be recognized and practiced throughout the world, creatinf everyone equal. -
Canada creates Internationsl Develpoment Agency
The purpose of this Canadian made agency was to bring help into other developing countries and provided assistance when necessary. They also branched out to other Candian organizations to help as well. By contributing to other countires as they develop into their own, the International Development Agency is protecting citizens of the world and their human rights. -
USA, Canada and Mexico sign North American Free Trade Agreement
The NAFTA between USA and Canada and Mexico opened up one of the largest free trade relationships worldwide, bringing 450 million people 17 trillion dollars worth of goods and tadable goods so to expand their livelyhoods and economies. protecting the lives of half a billion people and their right to live the way they were intended to. -
Canada enters Kandahar, Afganistan
Canada has its first inital deployment of soldiers to Kandahar, Afganistan. Going in as an attempted to bring peace, and justice to the people of Afganistan, the Cnadian soldiers fight for the rights of humans there and everywhere.
