Ran a 5k
May 18th, 2018 - My cousin Madison and my Grandma Sharon walked the 5k and Rachel and I ran it. -
Rainbow Resort
On June 11th, 2018 I began working at Rainbow Resort in Minnesota for the second summer. Rachel's grandparents own it so we were able to spend a lot of time there and get a lot of hours. We cleaned cabins every Saturday and helped with kids activities and games throughout the week. -
Got my license
On July 3rd, 2018 I took my drivers test for the first time and passed. Even though all I wanted to do was drive around with my friends, I had to leave right away to go to the resort for another two weeks. But, it made me more excited to come back to Valley City after spending hours and hours by the lake in the sun. -
4th of July Storm
The 4th of July has always been my favorite holiday. This year we had planned tons of activities at the resort, cool outfits, and themed decorations and food. Unfortunately, a bad storm went through the area early that morning and knocked down tons of trees and the power was out all day. So instead of celebrating on the boat and shooting off fireworks, we helped pick up branches and help the guests all day. -
Wakesurfing
One of the things I've always wanted to try was wakesurfing. So on July 14th, I got the opportunity to try it for the first time. I was a little nervous because it seemed hard to get the hang of but I got up on the board right away and it was a lot of fun. -
Hiliner Banner Company
On the first two days of school, I got to help design, print, and hang up some of the banners you see around the school district. We created the Blue Crew sign, the signs around the pep band bleachers, the signs on the main bleachers, and many that are hanging in the HAC. It was a lot of fun and exciting to see other students and the staff's reactions to some of the work we did, -
16th Birthday
On September 2nd I celebrated my 16th birthday by going to a rodeo in Sibley, and later going to Fargo to celebrate with my family. -
Movie Theater
On November 2nd I began working at the movie theater since the resort only needed the help during the summer. The environment is really fun and you get some pretty cool bonuses. One of the worst but funniest parts of my job is cleaning the theaters because you get to see what people snuck in without you noticing. -
UND Hockey
The only sport I can watch without getting super bored is hockey, so I really love going to games. So on February 23rd, 2019 me and my friends Julianne and Morgan went to a UND hockey game. -
TSA Conference
On March 18th me and a few other classmates traveled to Mandan to participate in the NDTSA conference. I entered a project that I made into the vinyl design category and I got second place.
