  • Complete Capstones

    I need to complete both an honors capstone project and a music capstone recital in Fall 2019 in order to be considered for graduation with a music/honors degree. I am submitting a proposal for my honors capstone this semester, and am planning out my repertoire for my recital currently.

  • Take Practice TExES Exam and PPR Exam

    I plan to take the practice Music Content (TExES EC-12 exam) and the practice PPR (TExES Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities exam) around the same time, as passing the practice exam is required to take the real exams for both.

  • Take TExES Exam and PPR

    I plan to take the actual TExES exam and PPR as soon as possible after I pass the practice exams, as I know that this is one of the last steps to take before student teaching, and to receive my teacher certification as both a general educator and a music teacher.

  • Apply for Jobs/Start Teaching!

    I plan to apply for jobs throughout my student teaching and after completion, so that I may hopefully get a job teaching music as soon as possible after graduation!

  • Start Student Teaching

    I plan to potentially start student teaching in the Spring 2020 semester, pending the completion/passing of my content exams and my teacher certification.
