    IMBd was originally funded in 1989 but was finally published to the internet in 1993. IMBd is a database of movies, television shows, and video games. It's like Google's database of the dominant part of the Internet but just for movies, television shows, and video games.

    Google was funded by Larey Page and Sergey Brin at Stanford University. Their mission was, "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful," which they have seemingly accomplished.     Wikipedia is a non-profit organization owned by Wikimedia. It was made by Jerry Wales and Larry Sanger, today it is the sixth most used website. The large amounts of data stored in one place is compared to the libraries of Alexandria. The original intent of wikipedia was to have a free online encyclopedia.     Safari was made to compete with Internet Explorer, the web browser released by Microsoft. It was originally released just for the Macintosh but became available to Windows in 2007. Apple computers originally had to use Netscape Navigator or even Internet Explorer to access the web.     YouTube was made by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim who were cooworkers at PayPal. The original idea of a video streaming service was to make it a dating site but with videos. They claim to be inspired by "Hot or Not" a dating site they were aware of at the time.     Twitter was made in 2006 by four men named, Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, Biz Stone, and Noah Glass. The original intent was because they were trying to save a dying company and send text messages on their phones. Jack Dorsey (one of the founders) sent out the first tweet which said "just setting up my twtter". The current most popular account was Lady GaGa with over 33 million followers.

    Minecraft was developed and published in 2009 by a man nick named "Notch". His real name was Markus Persson. The company was named Mojang made up of Notch and a team of developers. It ended being taken over by a man nicknamed Jeb, his real name being Jens Bergensten. In 2014 it was released that there were over 54 million copies of Minecraft sold on all platforms.
