Henry Ford introduced the Model T Ford. Letters were no longer needed among businessmen, they could drive to each other and speak face to face. -

Girl Scouts of America was founded and later became one of the largest non-profit organizations in America. -
World War I
At first the US was in recession, then when Britain joined the war they bought many goods from America sending us into an Economic Boom. -
Great Depression
It began with the stock market crashing and continued to get worse for years until Roosevelt enacted the New Deal which slowly brought us back. -
Glass-Steagall Legislation
This legislation was put into act which separated commercial and investment banking. -
WWII
Brought us out of the Great Depression and created many more jobs as soldiers and nurses. Our unemployment rates were next to nothing. -
Vietnam War
Foreign imports doubled which wreaked havoc on our balance of trade and took years to even partially fix. -
Social Security Amendment
Medicare and Medicaid was signed into law establishing many new taxes. -
Immigration act of 1965
For the first time ever, immigration into America became limited after President Johnson signed this into law. People were worried about losing their jobs to immigrants while business owners loved how cheaply they would work for. -
Oil Crisis
Oil prices quadrupled in response to reduced supply and higher demand. -
Microsoft
Bill Gates founded the Microsoft Corporation which made it easier for businesses to interact and keep track of things. -
Apple
Steve Jobs founded Apple Inc. which swiftly became just as popular and useful to businesses as Microsoft. -

Openly gay and bisexual people were prohibited from joining the military creating a stigma against gays in related career fields. -
Internet
The internet was fully commercialized in the USA and was being used for business propositions/meetings/work all over the country. -
9/11
Terrorist attack on the World Trade Center shut down the most prestigious business center in America. -
Financial Crisis
The housing market skyrocketed because mortgages were so easy to get that people who were unable to pay them were getting them. Banks ended up in so much debt that businesses which relied on credit suffered heavily, we fell into a recession much like that of the Great Depression,
