Bryonnes Timeline

  • 1993 Radio(music players)

I wanted to put this one in general terms, because when I think of a radio, I think of music altogether. I had cassette players, Walkman’s, boomboxes, mp3 players, etc. The first one I received was a portable tape player when I was around 6 or 7. I was so excited because I also received Paula Abdul's Straight up don’t tell me tape with it. I would walk around the yard listening to it over and over again making up little dance moves to the music.
  • 1995 - Playstation

My brothers and I would play for hours on end. Our favorite game was probably Ridge Racer. We got the Playstation and the games as a joint Christmas present. The feeling receiving it was utter excitement. It was difficult to share something we all equally loved. There were many fights about which game we would play, and who was cheating. I would give anything to go back to this time so I could play with my brothers again (and beat them).
  • 1999 - Cell phone

This was also a joint present that I shared with my brothers. We would take the Nokia cell phone with us when we would go somewhere our parents wouldn’t be. Like the movies. We weren’t allowed to make any calls on it unless we were calling our mom to tell her that we were ready to be picked up. We also picked out some faceplates to customize its look. It was a rush to get the phone, but because we weren’t allowed to use it, it became boring pretty quickly.
  • 2000 - Digital Camera

I was so excited to get my first digital camera. It was a Casio. I thought I was so cool taking pics of myself with my friends. I was in 8th grade, so it was a time where your friends are the most important thing to you. Using the pics I took, I would apply them as a screensaver slide show on my PC.
  • 2001 - HP PC

My mom surprised me with a HP computer for my birthday one year. I was entranced with it. I spent a good 6 hours setting it up and perusing through the new technology. I didn’t find out until years later that the ME operating system it came with was not a good thing, LOL.
