    A meeting of black church pastors to coordinate events for black people. MLK was elected president. This group used a nonviolent strategy. This group also registered Blacks to vote, opposed Vietnam war and provide better jobs for blacks.

    4 collage students go shopping for items at Wordsworth. Then they go to the lunch counter. They were denied common sense and told to leave, but they stayed. Day after day they came back and did the same thing. The number of students grew as the days went by until 600.

    250,000 people marched in Washington D.C It was peaceful and respectful protest for jobs and freedom. Martin Luther King gave his “I have a dream” speech. MLK was the last speaker of the day.
