Almost died of seizure
When I was little, I was at home and I had a very terrible fever. My fever kept rising until it was at 106.3. Then, I started to have a seizure. I had to get rushed in an Ambulance and go to the Emergency Room and get a really long shot down my back to see if my blood was boiling at all. -
Mom and Dad got a divorce
My Mom and Dad got a divoce in Janurary. I was very confused what was going on between my Mom and Dad. My Mom told me I would still see my Dad every other weekend, and that I was going to have a new Dad in several months.

Moved to New House
In 2002, our family moved from a different neighborhood to a new one in a College Community School District area. I was very excited for this. It was the first time I have moved. My whole family was very excited.

Brother's Birth
My brother Ryan Mitchell was born in 2003. I was hoping it would be a girl because I could name the girl, and I would of named her Jessica. I was still excited to have a new sibling.

Dog died
It was the night of my Kindergareten recital and the last week my yellow lab Sadie has been very sick. The night of my recital my whole family knew Sadie was going to pass away. I begged my Mom to skip my recital and stay home with Sadie because that was my first dog ever in my whole life. The night of my recital it was very hard to get through.

Hurricane Katrina disaster
My Aunt Kathy lives in New Orleans. She got warned to get out of her house and she didn't until a couple days later. She owned a really awesome beach house right by the Gulf of Mexico. Unfortunately, she lost her house. Now today, she gets a new cat every time theres a hurricane and names that cat the name of the hurricane.

Cedar Rapids Flood
Dad's friends house got ruined and we had to help him out after the flood. His house was smelly, and it was a total disaster. We also live by a creek. That's why our road is called Prairie Creek Road. The creek got really really high, it was kind of cool to look at.

Major Job Loss
My Aunt Michelle almost got layed off from her recent work Rockwell Collins. If she got fired that would of been very bad because she was going to have a baby girl in four months. Our whole family were really hoping that she would not lose her job. Several of her friends got layed off at work. -
Earthquake in Haiti
When I heard about the disaster in Haiti, I felt suddenly drawn towards the poor people that got injured and lost their home to this huge earthquake. It almost made me want to cry because of these poor people. An earthquake like that would probably never ever happen in the Midwest, especially Iowa. -
14th Birthday
I brought my friend Jaden to Chicago for my fourteenth birthday. I got to pick a place to have my birthday this year, so I picked Six Flags in Chicago. It was probably the funnest night of my whole life.

14th Birthday
For my 14th Birthday I got to chose where to go so I choose to go to Six Flags in Chicago with my Best friend Jaden. We had a blast all day. But, the first thing early in the morning she wanted to do is go on the biggest rollercoaster there. So she made me go on it, and the whole time on the huge hill, I was sweating so much. But that day was the best day of my whole life.

Uncle healed Cancer
My Uncle Toby that lives in Michigan healed of Cancer this year. The doctors' diagnosed my Uncle with a deadly cancer called Hodgkin's Lyphoma. He got diagnosed very close to his birthday. Our whole family was very devestated, through the whole year of 2010, he had to go through Chemotherapy. After a year, the doctors said he has miraculously healed, and that he didn't have a trace of Hodgkin's Lyphoma in his whole
body.
