Pre-Celtic people had already settled in Great Britain. They are called the Iberians (They probably come from Spain).
They lived during The Bronze and the Iron age. -

The Celts, a group of people from central Europe(Germany), started settling accross Britain and Ireland.
They mixed with the indigenous populations and created a distinct "Celtic-British culture".

The Anglo-Saxon Invaders
In 410 A.D, The Anglo-Saxon invaders colonized northwardds and westwards, pushing the Celts to the fringes of Britain, mainly to Corwall.
But they had to face with the Vikings arriving from the Scandinavia.
The most important Anglo-Saxon kings were "Alfred the Great", "Edward the Confessor" and "Harold". -
Period: 55 BCE to 43
Julius Caesar and Emperor Claudius
In 55 BC. Julius Caesar invaded Britain, but his expedition was not successful as his army was to small.
The Country was actually conquered by Romans in 43 A.D under the Emperor Claudius. -
Period: Oct 14, 1066 to 1455
William vs Harold
After the death of Edward the Confessor, "William Duke of Normandy", claimed the Throne of England.
In 1066 William attacked and defeated "Harold of Wessex". -
Period: 1455 to 1485
War of the Roses
The "House of York" and the "House of Lancester" , contentended the Throne of England, both descended from Edward III.
The War ended when "Henry Tudor" , defeated King Richard III. After the battle "Henry Tudor" became King Henry VII.
