*Getting a job*
2 weeks after coming to America, I got a job in a sewing company and got payed my first amount of money. Getting my first pay in money was a happy point in my life because that meant I could start supporting myself. -
*Meeting a loved one*
While out doing some shopping one day, I met a nice fellow, and we started spending a lot of time together, and one March afternoon, he proposed and we plan to be married. Growing up, my parent's thought I would never get married so knowing I've found a wonderful man, was one of the happiest days of my life. -
*Burning Crops*
Where me and my husband where staying in Philidelphia the crops we had surrounding our house were burned down by people who didn't like the Irish, since that is the culture we are. This was a terrible time in our lives because we ate a lot of the food from the crops, so now we have to go spend our hard earned money, on food when we could of grew ourselves. -
Moving West!
My husband and I moved west and found a great area of land, with lots of mountains and rivers nearby, and we now had a place to call "Home" -
Building our House!
After we finally settled we started to build our home, we went and found lots of materials and my husband and I, started building! -
Wildfires!
The land around our house got so dry near the end of the summer so mini fires would start and burn the land.
