Politics played a role in spreading Christianity. Frankish rulers help many Germanic people convert. Coastal attacks by Muslims made a lot of people become Christians too. This is important because a lot of people started to convert or change in to being Christianity. -

In 700s Charles Martel found out that often Muslims turned to the tide of battle. As a result he organized Frankish troops of armored horsemen or Knights. Before they became horsemen or Knights Mounted soldiers where really valuable during the combat. Knighthood and Chivalry
In 1100s a cod called chivalry was created it was complex set of ideas. This means that the Knights fight bravely in defense of three master. Chivalrous Knight devoted him self to feudal lord also his chosen lady. Chivalrous Knights had to also protect the weak and the poor. The Knight is loyal,brave and courteous. Therefore if the Knights would fail to meet their standards they would be treated like lower class brutally for example- public shame put him in coffin and dragged to the church. -
Charlemagne Takes Over Byzantine Empire
By 800. The Charlemagne grew bigger then the Byzantine empire The Charlemagne included two-thirds of Italy, France, small part of Spain and German. Therefore Charlemagne became the most powerful king in Western Europe. This is important because Charlemagne became a powerful and important person/king in Western Europe and grew bigger. -
Invasions of Western Europe
Between 800 and 1000. Invasions destroyed Carolingian empire completely. Muslim investors from the south raided ltaly also Magyar invaders stuck from the east. They sacked Rome in 846. This showed how in between 800 and 1000 AD who invaded Western Europe. -
New Social Order
850 to 950. Charles and Rollo were rulers and warriors that made similar agreements in parts of Europe. They had this system feudalism that consisted of governing and landholding. Feudalism based on mutual obligations system. This means a lord could grant land called a fief. Also when you got land granted to you would be called a vassal. Feudalism depended on the control of the the land. The feudalism was a good system that people could follow and was obeyed by.
