Critical Reading and Writing Teacher Training
These teachers geared up to offer a blended learning class for 9th graders & some high school students. Chromebooks will be the hardware. Schoology will be used for the LMS (Learning Management System), Google Apps for Education will be used for workflow, and Discovery Education will provide them with content. The team has an outline, and a CRW collaborative group that will allow for lesson plan sharing and communication throughout the year. -

The Google Drive Webquest was introduced to about 160 educators. We used tutorials, collaboration, and play to discover all that Calendar and Drive can offer us.

Secondary Librarians GAFE, DE, & Schoology Training
Secondary Librarians met for an incredible training of tools that will provide CCSS content, collaboration, and support. These teachers are masters at curating! We planned how Secondary Librarians can be support for tech needs at their buildings. Ongoing resources will allow for collaboration about this event! -
Chromebooks & GAFE at Mountain View Elementary
Curtis Anderson handed out Chromebooks to each teacher today. Teachers logged in to their Google Apps for Education account and learned some basics of Drive and Calendar. -
Schoology & Prezi with Les Bois 7th Graders
Michaelle Pollard is having her 7th graders collaborate within Google Drive, while creating a Prezi manual that will be shared out for others. This is a great way to have students practice 2nd person writing. These students joined Schoology today in a quick training, and are using this space to continue discussions for editing and revising in their writing. -
iPad Training for Creativity Apps - 2nd graders
Bobbie Telleria is creating workflow with her 2nd grade students. She has incorporated a variety of apps that allow for multimedia presentations. Today we collaborated about other apps and Discovery Education for her students, as well. -
GAFE Training with Special Ed Leads
The Special Education team unveiled the first district Google Site! The Special Education Intranet! This will be used by staff to collaborate and share documents throughout the year. It is an invite only, so it will not be posted in this timeline. -
DEN Virtual Conference at the Boise Capitol
Check out the Archived Presentations Boise, Nampa, and Emmett educators met on a Saturday to learn and collaborate about best practices for tech integration in education. We were especially challenged by Dr. Dalllas Dance and Kelly Hines during their Keyonte presentations. Each teacher had take aways that they could use immediately in their classrooms with students.
