    The Family Bible

    This is the first edition of the Issac Collins Bible. The leaves were about 10'' to 11'' tall by 8'' to 9''. It was thicker than stock paper.

    Robert Aitken's Bible

    He wanted to print a neat version of the Bible, for the use of schools. This Bible was the only Bible that has received the USA Congresses approval. The Robert Aitken's Bible was referred to as ''Bible of Revolution''.

    The King James Bible was 16'' tall. They were chained to the pulpits in England. It was known as the ''authorized'' version of the Bible. It is the main Bible used in today's churches.

    The Douay Old Testament

    The testament was translated by the Church of Rome, It is the oldest Roman Catholic Bible translation in English form that was full. The spelling was used because it was made at the English College at Douay. The testament was printed in parallel columns.

    The Bishop's Bible

    It is the second Bible that was published by the Church of England. It was 17'' tall and 12'' wide, weighing 30 pounds. The Bishop's Bible was a shade of burgundy-brown Italian leatherette. It included five layers of solid birch wooden boards with a extra set of heavy duty stitching. It was considered to be the ''rough draft'' of The King James version.

    The Geneva Bible

    The New Testament that was completed in 1157 and published in 1560 became known as The Geneva Bible. This Bible was referred to as the ''Breeches Bible'', because of the clothing that was described in Genesis known as ''britches''. It was the first Bible to ever have number to label the verses. The Geneva Bible is also known as the first English study Bible available. Even William Shakespeare quoted from the The Geneva Bible in his plays.

    ''The Great Bible

    The Great Bible was the very first authorized edition of the Bible in English. It was authorized by King Henry VIII of England. He wanted it to be read outlaid in services of the Church of England. It was called as the ''Great'' because of its size. The Great Bible had another name. Known as the ''Whitchurch Bible'', which was after the original publisher.

    Miles Cloverdale

    Cloverdale was the very first to complete a printed version of the Bible. The tranalationions he made were included i the Matthew-Tydale Bible.

    Erasmus

    Published Greek and Latin version of the New Testament. It was printed in 1516. It had two columns, the Greek translation was on the left while the Latin translation on the right.

    Johannes Gutenburg

    Gutenburg printed the first Bible that printed from movable metal type. It was printed on rag cotton linen paper. It was printed in double columns. The capital letter and the heading were ornamented in color by hand.

    The Vulgate Manuscripts

    This is the Latin version of the Bible. St. Jerome was told to revise the old Latin text of the four Gospels. He made a new version of Psalms. He later translated all of the 39 books of the Hebrew Bible. He labeled the New Psalms ''iuxta Hebrews''. St. Jerome translated Tobit and Judith, which were not included in the Old Testament. After sixteen years his translation was complete.

    Athanasius

    Athanasius was known as the ''black dwarf'' by his enemies. He was forced to exile five times. According to britannica, he argued that the doctrine that was considered false ''Son of God was creature like'', was not the same as ''God the Father''. He thought that this denied the Trinity.

    John Wycliffe

    Wycliffe was the one who completed the very first complete version of the English Bible. He translated the Latin scriptures into English people, so they would let them understand better. Wycliffe's work was used by the Lollards, which were technically a group of poor priests.

    Martin Luther

    He created the the Luther Bible, which is a German translated version of the Bible. Luther focused more on the Old Testament. He wanted the version to be spoken instead of being a book or written.
