The Red Army captures Berlin and the city is divided into a Soviet place in the east, and US, British and French areas in the west. -
Democratic Republic of East Germany is Founded
The East side of Berlin is formed. -
Federal Republic of West Germany is founded
The west side of germany is founded by the allied powers. -
East Berlin has started building a wall
They started building the wall and West Beriln is still supplying the people of East Berlin supply drops. -
JFK visits wall.
JKF decided not to get involved with the wall after he visited it.
(He had bigger fish to fry). A few months later he was shot in Dallas, Tx. -
West and East Berlin establish diplomatic ties.
West and East Berlin have kind of a truce. Are still in the cold war so but don't have to still be in conflict in Germany. -
Reagan Visits the wall
President Ronald Reagan visits Berlin and tells Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev to tear down the wall. -
The Border Opens
The Hungarian Government opens the border with Austria lots of East Germans leave and them went to West Germany -

East and West Germany are finally together again -

The five year anniversary is celebrated. -

Berlin wall survivors celebrate 10 year anniversary. -

everyone takes part in the celebration of the wall falling down.
