Babur's death
The death of Bubar leads to difficulties with his son Humayan's succession, and they try and get Humayan's uncle to fight, but they were defeated. Humayan gains the throne in 1531. -

Sher Shah Suri
Leader of the rival Sur dynasty, and takes out Humayan out of India and takes over in 1540. Humayan takes refuge with Savid and end up forming a bond within the two dynasties. -
Jul 23, 1555
Humayan takes advantage
Humayan uses the advantage of the deaths of both Sher Shah Suri and Islam Shah march for the army to provide Persian allies back to India. Bairam becomes leader and shows better power which leads the Mughals to more power. -
Jan 27, 1556
Retaking power
Humayan stop doing a daily prayer while going down a flight of stairs and trips. He is injured and dies three days later. His son, Akbar takes control under Bairam Khan, who is also a general. -

Mughal army defeats the Surs and solidifies Akbar's control. -
Jan 31, 1561
Under the guidance
Akbar strips Bairam Khan of his reign and Khan is assassinated on a trip to Mecca. Akbar is now in full control of the empire and he ended up getting a huge military advantage due to him getting guns from Europe, and developing a strong system of trade and administration. -
Jahangir
Akbar's oldest son is now the successor and he wants to lead a revolt against his father. Meanwhile, Akbar is too busy in a foreign military compaign. Akbar is defeated but still has support from the women and his mother. -
Jahangir succeds as emperor
Jahangir succeds as emperor due to the help of harem women. His son rebels against him which leads to Jahangir to kill all his sons supporter and even blinds his own son. Jahangir neglects being a ruler and he becomes addicted to opium and alcohol -
Jahangir dies
Jahangir dies on his way back from a visit to visit Kashmir. Heis third son succeed's him and during this time frame causes the court's opulence becoming more expensive than its value. -
Shah Jahan begins
The Taj Mahal begans constructions in memory of Shah Jahan's wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It's a white marbel mausoleum and it brought much attention with Mughal's architecture. -
Shah Jahan
Shah falls ill and his son becomes regent for him. Due to liberal politics his brother, Aurangzeb becomes allies with Islamic factions to throw him out. -
Aurangzeb defeats Dara Shikoh
He's excuted then Shah Jhan is recovered by this point and Aurangzeb requires him to go to prison. With Aurangzeb's harsh religious rules leads undermines the stability of the empire. This marks the beginning of the decline of the Mughal's power. -
Shah Alam
Aurangzeb's son succeeds him and tries to fix things with the way his father handled things, but it's too late and this leads the empire into becoming disastrous after his death. -
British East India Company
Becomes the protector the for Mughal Empire. Bahadur Shah Zafar is the last ruler and he's a figurehead. The revolt is defeated and the Mughals deposed the East India Company which assumes formal control over the country and ends the Mughal Empire.
