My birthday!
I was born at 11:05 am on August 1, 1988 at Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL. My grandmother, who was head nurse of Labor and Delivery at Providence at the time, helped deliver me. -
I come home from the hospital to Shepard State Park
Shepard State ParkMy mom worked as the Park Manager for Shepard State Park in Gautier from before I was born until I was 11 years old. -
My baby brother is born!
Eleven short months later, I become a big sister. My younger brother, Blake, was born a few weeks before my first birthday. -
I start Kindergarten

I start attending the IDEAS Program at College Park Elementary
I tested into the Gifted Program at my school. There was one program at 3 local elementary schools. I got to meet some pretty cool people. The most important of which was Jane Pickett, who is one person who had influence on my decision to become a teacher. -

In 1998, my family left Gautier and moved back to the Mobile area to be closer to my mom's aging mother. -
I start attending Nelson L. Adams Middle School in Saraland, AL.
Saraland Middle SchoolSaraland has recently broken off from the MCPSS and formed their own school district, so Adams is now known as Saraland Middle School. -

I meet the other very influential teacher in my life, Michelle Cowan.
Mrs. Cowan was my mentor all through high school. I still keep in touch with her today. -
I get my driver's license

I meet my future husband
In the Fall of 2004, I met my now-husband. At the time, I had no idea. We didn't really even talk at this meeting, but a mutual friend introduced us. -
Best Valentine's Day, EVER!
On Valentine's Day of 2005 I was at a Scholars' Bowl meet at Faulkner State Community College with my high school team, when I found out I had been awarded the honor of being an Azalea Trail Maid. My dress was lavendar. -
My parents divorce
My parents divorce after 17 years of marriage. -
I graduate from high school

I start college... the first time!
In August of 2006, I started classes at the University of South Alabama. I was a Recreational Therapy major at the time. I attended class for a few semesters but decided I wasn't ready for college and didn't really know what I wanted to do with my life. So, I took some time off to experiment with jobs in different fields. -
After a few more chance encounters, Chris and I start dating.
The cute guy I met during high school slyly puts his number in my phone while we are hanging at a friend's house. :-) This is one of our first pictures together as a couple. -
Chris proposes!
He pops the question at midnight on New Year's Eve 2008-2009. This is our first picture taken after we were engaged. -
We get married!
A photo taken during our wedding at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Mobile, AL. Our reception was at Camp Grace. We were married on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe! -
We adopt our first child... ok, dog.
Sadie came to live with us from a pet adoption agency based out of Hattiesburg, MS called Pampered Pets Pet Rescue. We found her on Petfinder.com because I wanted a Basset Hound and my hubby wanted a dachshund. She happens to be a mix of both! -

Scooter joins our family
When we adopted Sadie, we knew she had a brother named Scooter. At that time, we were living in a one bedroom apartment and were concerned that two dogs and two people would be too much. BUT it didn't take long before I talked hubby into letting Scooter come live with us to! :-) This picture is the day we reunited Sadie and Scooter when we picked him up. -
I start back at South Alabama in the College of Education
After a few years, I finally figured out what my passion was - CHILDREN! I decided to finish my degree in Elementary Education so I can love what I do everyday. -
Our second niece was born
EveMarie Lucille followed her sister a mere 10 months and 10 days later! She was a few weeks early.
