Brought to Tillsonburg in the year 2000 at the Tillsonburg Community Center
-
Baby Duckies had a good year in 2000 when the mothers started to bring their children to the center for extra learning
-
Baby duckies got removed from the community centre because there was not enough space for all the children and the parents.
-
Baby Duckies started to fail now because there was no steady place for them to hold their weekly sessions. It is a community funded project but they had no place for meetings
-
-
Baby duckies raised enough money in the community where they can now operate at their own facility
-
there are now 20 families that attend Baby Duckies officially every week.
-
this run will help ensure that Baby Duckies has the money that they need to keep up with resources for the children and keep their building
-
this partnership will help classes like parenting and early child development to get some real life examples of the things that parents have to endure. they can also get volunteer hours if they volunteer outside of school
-
the facility has become too small for the amount of new families that want to join the program. Since there is lots of fundraising going on in the community, it is possible for Baby Duckies to grow and expand
-
the centre started to add a musical therapy section to the program. this will especially help the children with disabilities in their development.
-
the family festival and the autism awareness run are both yearly projects that allow the community to help Baby Duckies with providing resources and fun activities for the children. this would also help the director find out how much money to put aside each month to ensure future sustainability
