Hernan Cortes arrives in Tenochtitlán. This foreshadows the events to follow. Meanwhile Cortes allies with enemies of the Aztec and attacks the Spanish leaving them with horrid losses in 1520. -

The Downfall of the Aztec nation
After the death of their 10th king Their final king Cuauhetemoc takes over in 1520 only to surrender to Cortes the next year and watch the destruction of his city. Then the next year the city is rebuilt by the Spanish and the king is hung 3 years later in 1525
