    During *ANTIQUITY in Turkey, there were only a few ethnicities, languages, and even religions. The very first people who were in Turkey were called the *SELJUK TURKS. They claimed to be *MUSLIMS who came from Central Asia. The majority of people in Turkey also spoke a different language from today called *ARABIC. The main religion in Turkey was *ISLAM, and it still is. There was also very few *ARABS in Turkey at the time who followed the religion *JUDAISM.

Still, not everyone shares the same ethnicities, languages, or religions. 90% of the people living in Turkey are *TURKS. All *TURKS also speak their native language, *TURKISH. It’s not just *TURKS that follow the religion *ISLAM, there's also another type of people in Turkey who are called the *KURDS. The *KURDS make up most of the remaining population in Turkey. The *KURDS are from *KURDISTAN.
