    Auguste Comte attended École Polytechnique to originally be a mathematician and scientist. He left on his own accord prior to graduating to study economics, history and philosophy. Due to this change and influence by Henri de Saint-Simon, he became a secretary for a well renowned author.

    Social Doctrine

    Auguste Comte developed social doctrine with mane French intellectuals. Through these lectures, he produced the six-volume Course of Positive Philosophy. This described and argued that "the physical world, society operated under its own set of laws". This created the formulation of religion of humanity, wanting to focus on a religion of morality.
