Born in Montpellier, Herault, in southern France. The son of Louis and Rosalie Comte. Died on September 5th 1857 from stomach cancer. -
Henri de Saint-Simon
In 1817 Comte met Saint-somon, a social theorist, and became his secretary and collaborator. this partnership ended in 1824. -
Marriage
Married Caroline Massin in 1825, but the Marriage was unhappy and they separated in 1842. -
Mental Health
Was admitted to a mental health hospital in 1826, but left without being cured. -
Suicide attempt
Due to his mental Health, Comte tried to attempt suicide in 1827 by jumping off the Pont des Arts. -
Positivism
Between the years of 1856 and 1865 Auguste Comte published a series of texts on Positivism.

Love Life
Comte fell in love with Clotilde de Vaux but never consummated because she was still married. After her death in 1846 Comte developed a new "Religion of Humanity".
