    Navagation acts
    Purpose- To direct trade between england an colonies. Outcome- The colonist began to smuggle because of the tax.
  • Proclomation of 1763

    Purpose- To prevent more fighting Outcome- Angered the people that bought land west of the mountains
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    Purpose- Lower the tax on imported molasses to get the colonist to pay the tax instaed of smuggleing Outcome- The colonist thought it violated thier rights as an english citezen.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    Purpose- To have a tax on almost all printed goods. Outcome- Colonist refused to use the stamps, and colonist merchants refused to buy the stamps
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    Purpose- Parlament had the right to tax and make decisions for the british colonies Outcome- It angered the colonist
  • Townshend Acts

    Purpose- To have a tax on only imported goods. Outcome- Any tax now angered the colonist, they thought only their representative could tax them, and they organized another boycott.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    Purpose- Virtual momopoly could control trade for tea the America. Outcome- They had a boycott, and held the boston tea party.
  • Coercive Act

    Coercive Act
    Purpose- To punish the people of Massachuesetts for their resistance to british laws. Outcome- It took away certain rights of the colonist, and the colonist had to pay for the tea.
  • Quebec Act

    Quebec Act
    Pupose- To set up the goverment for Quebec, aldo gave Quebec the area west of the Appalachains and north of the ohio river. Outcome- Colonist expressed feeling in their name for the new laws.
