    While he didn't invent the telescope, he did build one, and found fascinating discoveries in our solar system. He pushed the idea of the sun being the center of our solar system. However, the church weren't too fond of this. He was even put under house arrest! Death Date - 1642

    Not only an astronomer, Edmond was also a mathematician and physicist. He was the second Astronomer royal in Britain, succeeding John Flamsteed in 1720. He was the one who discovered Halley's comet. Death Date - 1742

    He discovered many solar objects, but his biggest discovery was the planet Uranus. It was common for him to work with his sister on astronomy. Death Date - 1822

    One of the most famous scientists of the modern day, Einstein's theory of relativity revolutionized science as a whole. His theory aided in the explanation of black holes, neuron stars, and gravitational waves. Death Date - 1955
