    This case was about seven children with disabilities who were excluded from their public school and denied educational services. The parents of these children filled a suit against the board for denying their right to an education. The court ruled in favor of the children.

    This act prohibits discrimination against students with disabilities in federally funded programs. Section 504 requires that a child with disabilities be placed in a regular educational environment with students who don't have disabilities. This act also states that if the child with a disability can't benefit or interrupts the learning environment they could be pulled out of that classroom.

    The Every Student Succeeds Act
    This was signed by president Obama as a commitment to equal opportunity for all students. This will take over the no child left behind act. This gives schools extra help for those students who have not made an adequate improvement academically. This brings many changes to the school system such as in testing, the testing scores are seen more as a whole than individualized and can be targeted better that way.
