  • Spring Blind Box

    Spring Blind Box
    During the pandemic, CSSA was forced to run only online activities. The Spring Blind Box campaign was very innovative. Students participating in this campaign would prepare a gift and send it to a relay station set up by CSSA, which would then exchange the gifts by giving them to different participants. However, the students did not know who received the gifts from.

  • Night of Mahjong

    Night of Mahjong
    Mahjong is a traditional Chinese folk activity. CSSA brought this event to UW campus to give Chinese students the opportunity to be able to play a traditional Chinese activity in the United States.

  • Fresher's Meetings

    Fresher's Meetings
    CSSA held freshers' meetings in nine cities in China. This event allowed the new students to meet their seniors and learn all sorts of dry information about studying and living in Madison, while getting to know their new classmates.

  • Scavenger Hunt

    Scavenger Hunt
    Over 200 New Badgers, led by seniors from CSSA, completed their first school hunting trip after the epidemic. They traveled all over the campus and surroundings in an adventurous game.

    Devil's Lake Autumn Tour
    CSSA held its first big offline event in the fall and took everyone on a fall trip to Devil's Lake near UW. This event brought Chinese students closer to each other as well as releasing their minds and bodies.

    Werewolf Kill
    Werewolf Kill is an extracurricular activity enjoyed by many Chinese students. CSSA's Werewolf Kill tournament brought Chinese students together to compete in logic skills and promote communication among students.

    Harry Potter-themed Garden Party
    To help Chinese students integrate into American life, CSSA held a Harry Potter-themed garden party on Halloween. Eleven kinds of trivia games were prepared and Chinese students had a lot of fun.

    Crosstalk
    Crosstalk is a Chinese folk music art. CSSA held the Crosstalk for the first time in late 2021. The audience exceeded a hundred people. This event was effective in spreading Chinese folk culture on the UW campus.

    Chinese Spring Festival Gala
    The Chinese Spring Festival Gala is one of the most important events of the year for CSSA. On the day of the Gala, CSSA invited many Chinese clubs from UW to perform on stage. Thousands of Chinese students gathered together to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
