The Shays's Rebellion
In September 1786 some Massachusetts farmers rebelled to avoid losing their land. The farmers attacked the courthouses to prevent judges from expropriating their farms.
By 1787 there were about 2500 farmers in the Shays's Rebellion ranks. In that moment the Congress didn't have the money or forces to face that rebellion and this made evident how fragile the Confederation was, and it quickened moves to change the Articles of Confederation.
