  • Proclamation of 1763

    No settlers were allowed to settle west of the Appalachian Mountains.

    Parliament announced that they had unlimited power to tax and control the colonies.

    Placed taxes on basic goods, lead and tea.

    The Boston Tea Party was a tax placed on tea. It resulted in angry colonists dumping multiple gallons of tea in Boston harbor.

    All citizen's rights were revoked, and all trading was controlled by England.

  • 1st Continental Congress

    All colonists met in Pennsylvania. They sent a letter to King George requesting for their rights back.

  • War of Independence

    The Revolutionary War. The Americans won.

  • The Constitution was Adopted
