VAN GOGH (1853-1890)
Vincent Van Gogh was born 30 March of 1853 in The Netherlands. He was considered the most famous artist of the Post impressionism movement.
The paintings are characterised by use of intense colours to express feelings and he use visible brushstroke.
The thematic is related with real life or nature.
He always used a technique called “Impasto” based on thick and diluted brushstrokes. With this technique he supplied emotions and movements to the paintings. -

Sunflowers is a series of oil paintings created by Van Gogh in 1888. The artist appreciated the simplicity, happiness and its wild look because floral paintings stand out in his country.

It was painted in June 1889 and it describes the view from the window of his asylum room at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, just before sunrise, with the addition of an imaginary village.
