Having all these different styles also gave the chance for artists to express their work in their own comfortable way using their specialism but incorporating a the Art Nouveau style.

    The paintings of the Fauves were characterized by ‘wild’ and rough brush work and bright, bold colours, while their subject was simple yet abstract. All of these aspects of the style are what makes it different.

    Art Deco

    Art Deco is a style of visual arts, architecture and design. It featured rare and expensive materials such as ebony and ivory. The bold geometric forms, bright colours and exotic styles all make this movement unique. Each of these styles has been influenced by other styles (e.g. Geometric from Cubism) but using them all together to create one style is very different.

    The bold, bright colours and recognizable imagery drawn from popular media and products makes this movement different to others. The freedom of expression through using the colours and bold images also sets Pop Art aside from other movements.
