The time of realism while still finding a way to make it different. Flamboyant realism, often showing realistic scenes in a way that looks sorta like a cartoon. In anticipation of WW2 the world wasn't too worried about art, so artists found something to keep them busy during the panicked times.

A panicked time in history due to most of the 1940s being overtaken by loss by WW2. During this period artists settled with shapes like squares and sharp shapes. These types of paintings often tried their best to represent the sad emotions felt in this time.
Towards the end of WW2(1945) artists stayed with the shapes and unrealistic illusion.

Abstract Expressionism, one of the most important movements of the 1950s, this art style consisted of things like Modern sculpture, Pop-art, Neo-Dada, and lyrical abstraction.
This century brought apon art styles like cubism, fauvism, and modernism. Like expressionism the art was emotional and sends a message, but at the same time this was still abstract art, meaning it was random and specific. -

Protests leading to the individualism of women and others, John F Kennedy as president during the start of the era and the civil rights movement, there was a lot to talk about. Artists found their work in more pop art and creativity. Old comics and remembered tv shows came from this era, and women's movement was taking up the media.

Fine art was not very popular during this century, but he 1980 was a time of aesthetics, photos were a popular type of art due to the new advancement in technology. This technology made way for more information to get around and artists did not feel a need to keep up with the expectations of having to be super realistic with their art. The new popular was making art off of how the scene felt and less of what it looked like.

Things were getting better and the art during this time could tell you that. Punk and hippie cultures became less popular and art mediums such as graffiti and abstract art became more popular.
Most often used types of art used was street art or neo expressionism. Street art worked with paints, and graffiti, while neo expressionism worked with things like markers and oil pastels. Both were very abstract and gave scenes that were either political, or self identity based.

Art had a lot to talk about, this including the terrorist attacks that had taken place along with the new advancement in technology. Shows and animation became a type of fine art form. The classics were made around this time, character design and many types of fine art was spent making picture animation.

The art had not changed much since the 1990s or 200s but the fashion expressed the new way of thinking of art. Animation was still taking up much of modern art but also smart devices were out and people found most works of art in the digital field more than in real life.

There has been an increase of those going into the art field so everyone is different and thats the topic that modern art tries to interpret.
