    Mythology influenced Greek Architecture, since religion was dominating the life in ancient times.
    - Characteristics
    - Raised on high grounds
    - Mostly temples so people could pray to their gods
    - Used two types of colums
    - Doric
    - Simple and thick, no decoration at the base and wider on the bottom than at the top
    - Ionic
    - Thinner than Doric, had a base and the top was decorated with scrolls

    Adopted Greek architecture and made it their own. Consisted of new materials such as concrete and by using new techniques, like the arch and the dome in order to make well engineered buildings.
