Six-Day War
Much of the Middle-East resented Israel's existence since its creation. This led to war with multiple Arab countries. Israel ended up winning, which gained back the Gaza Strip, an important part of land. -
Yom Kippur War
Wanting to earn their land back, Egypt and Syria launched a surprise attack on Israel. The Israelis were unprepared, but due to help from U.S. troops they were able to overpower the Arab forces. This led to an oil embargo called by the Arabs to not sell oil to countries supporting Israel. -
Camp David Accords
The Camp David Accords was a peace agreement made between multiple countries to stop the hostility. It ended thirty years of conflict between Egypt and Israel. -
Israel Raids Lebanon
In 1978 Israel raided Lebanon in order to stop oncoming Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) attacks. They did so again in 1982, further increasing the conflict in the Middle East. -

The Intifada
The intifada was Palestinian rebellion of Israel's occupation of what was once their land. This went on for many years and eventually ended in the Palestinian losing almost all control of the land.
