Egyptian president Anwar Sadat and Israeli prime minister Menachem Begin came up with this agreement. Egypt recongnized Israeli and Israel returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt. -
Intifada
This rebellion was caused when Palestinian resentment of Israeli occupation began to boil. During the intifada, Palestinian youths battled Israeli troops in widespread street violence.
