    Israel declares it self independent but is attacked by Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, & Iraq. Israel gains land alongside Egypt who gained the Gaza Strip, and Jordan who gained the West bank and East Jerusalem. These disputes left thousands of Jews and Palestinians to be refugees.

    1967 War
    Israel launches a preemptive strike against Jordan, Syria, Iraq, & Egypt. Egypt sets up a blockade while the other countries send threats. Israel regains West Bank, the Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem , the Sinai peninsula, and Golan Heights. More people become refugees and terrorism becomes more common

    Settlement Construction Begins
    The Israeli and Palestinian governments starts to build settlements on acquired land to provide protection. Both countries disapprove of each other

    The Unites States helps Egypt set a precedent by arranging a peace treaty. Egypt would recognize Israel in return for all the land that was exchanged in previous wars. It established Israel's "Land for Peace" policy.

    PLO groups in Lebanon start attacking Israel so Israel retaliates. The PLO moves to Tunisia to provide another buffer zone

    The PLO supplies Palestinians in West Bank and Gaza strip with supplies to start uprisings. Due to Israeli military tactics many Palestinians are killed

    A declaration of peace is signed by the PLO and Israel. Israel retracts its forces and both countries formally recognize each other. Both parties feel heavily obligated.

    A military general goes to visit a holy site and causes an uprising. From this point on suicide bombings and terrorism become more common.

    Arab nations want to return to pre 1967 borders but Israel disagrees but is willing to deliberate, further emphasizing the “Peace For Land” policy

    To help prevent conflict the Israeli government creates a fence along the West Bank. This is a major inconvenience to many Palestinians and does not help anything.
  • The Roadmap for Peace is proposed

    The US, European Union, and Russia propose a plan to reconstruct but due to extremist leadership in Palestine the plan is never implemented
  • Israel disengages from Gaza

    Israel retreats from the Gaza Strip but this only results in additional terrorist attacks.

    Hamas is strongly against Israel and the Jews. He disregards all previous treaties and promotes terorrist attacks

    The tension between the PLO and Hamas increases, eventually Hamas is taken down.

    Iran and Syria support terrorist groups in Israel. This results in the death of many Israelis and damages Lebanese infrastructure.

    Trade is heavily guarded and 5 Turkish activists are killed. This marks the end of the Turkey-Israel alliance.
