Black Land Act No 27
This act made it illegal for blacks to own or rent land outside of their designated reserves. Because of this act, blacks had to live in tiny, overpopulated spaces, which made it hard for them to get necessary goods. -

Extra-marital intercourse was prohibited between whites and blacks. A white person couldn't have kids with a black person. -
Development Trust and Land Act No 18
This act expanded reserves to 13.6% of the total land in South Africa and authorized the elimination of black spots by the Department of Bantu Administration and Development. Land owned by blacks that was surrounded by land owned by whites was taken away from the blacks and there was still not enough room for the black population. -
Aliens Act No 1
This act restricted and regulated certain aliens from coming into the Union, as well as one's right to assume a surname. Immigrants weren't welcome so the land wasn't as diverse. -
Natives (Urban Areas) Consolidation Act No 25
People could be removed from urban areas if they seemingly led idle lives or committed certain offences. This gave more reason for whites to remove blacks because they could just claim the blacks were leading dissolute lives. -
Prohibition of Mixed Marriages Act No 55
Whites and members of another racial group were not allowed to get married. This led to many whites believing they were above other races and more racial segregation. -
Blacks Resettlement Act No 19
This act made a Resettlement Board that allowed the removal of blacks from townships, authorizing Sophiatown and other similar removals. People were legally removed from their homes. -
Bantu (Black) Administration Amendment Act No 42
This act was an amendment to the 1927 Black Administration Act and it said that someone being banished no longer had the right to present his case to the Governor-General. This made it easier for whites to ban anyone with little to no problems. -
Transkei Constitution Act No 48
This act allowed Transkei to govern itself. People who lived in Transkei had more power over their living statuses. -
Black Labour Act No 67
This act made the laws that regulated recruiting, employment, accommodation, feeding, and health conditions of black laborers stronger. The conditions for black laborers didn't get much better.
