    While there were events involving State Building, Expansion, and conflict during the 1900s to the present day of war that remained constant, such as political regimes remaining the same, there was a majority of events that changed the entire world forever such as, the beginnings of wars or the power gained by individuals
  • Arch Duke Ferdinand Assassination

    Assassination ofArchduke Ferdinand, 1914He, the heir presumptive to the Austro-Hungarian throne, and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg, were shot dead in Sarajevo, by Gavrilo Princip, one of a group of six Bosnian Serb assassins coordinated by Danilo Ilić.This is change because it began a World War that would change the world. The world war changed political regimes and killed many people changing their families lives as well.
  • Bolshevik Revolution

    The Bolshevik Revolution1917 (October Revolution) it was a political revolution, mass insurrection and a part of the Russian Revolution of 1917. This change because it changed the Politics of Russia, or at least let there voice become heard. It placed the Bolshevik's in charge of Russia.
  • Russian Civil War

    In 1918, The Soviet Union began to seek control of Russia. They split the country and began fighting. This is change as well because the Soviet Union took control because of the Civil War. If the Soviet Union did not take control, WWII might have been less effective or more. It would've changed the entire outcome.
  • First Meeting of the League of Nations

    It was an intergovernmental organization founded as a result of the Paris Peace Conference that ended the First World War. It was the first permanent international organization whose principal mission was to maintain world peace. This is constant because the League of Nations did not change anything except to charge Blame and control the peace.
  • Stock Market Crash of 1929

    The 1929 Stock Market CrashA.k.a. the Wall Street Crash of 1929, the Great Crash, and the Stock Market Crash of 1929, it was the most devastating stock market crash in the history of the United States, taking into consideration the full extent and duration of its fallout. This is change because the Great Depression eventually brought the industrial revolution to the United States. This was one of the main revolutions to the entire world. Causing it to never be the same after.
  • Hitler gains power in Germany

    was an Austrian-born German politician and the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (NSDAP), commonly referred to as the Nazi Party). He was chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945 and dictator of Nazi Germany (as Führer und Reichskanzler) from 1934 to 1945. This is change because he caused a holocaust and a war that killed millions of people. Giving the current world a lot of mistakes to learn from.
  • Benito Mussolini's Facist Movement

    Mussolini and the Fascist Movement in ItalyA.k.a. Italian Fascism, it refers to the original fascist ideology in Italy. This is a constant in the since that Mussolini did not change the world. He was just another world leader with a political ideology.
  • WWII Begins

    INVASION OF POLAND, FALL 1939 - Was an invasion of Poland by Germany, the Soviet Union, and a small Slovak contingent that marked the beginning of World War II in Europe. This is change because it began another World War that changed the world forever.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor marks the beginning of the United States involvement with WWII. This is change because it shows the strength of our country and our country's military to move forward together.
  • D-Day at Normandy

    D-Day was the landing operations of the Allied invasion of Normandy, in Operation Overlord, during World War II. It was one of the biggest acts of the Allied forces fighting back. This is change because it helped change the entire outcome of the war by giving the allied forces a foothold.
  • Warsaw Pact

    The Warsaw pact was a mutual defense treaty between eight communist states of Eastern Europe in existence during the Cold War. The founding treaty was established under the initiative of the Soviet Union. This is change because after years of arguing, something finally happen. The world started to make more advances to peace.
  • Construction of the Berlin Wall Begins

    The construction of the Berlin WallIt was a barrier constructed by the German Democratic Republic (GDR, East Germany) starting on 13 August 1961, that completely cut off West Berlin from surrounding East Germany and from East Berlin. This is yet another change because the outcome reunites Germany. Yet, when the wall was built it didn't change anything. It was more of a physical act of saying that Germany was split. Which everyone already knew.
  • Cuban Missle Crisis

    Russia used Cuba as a proxy state and put nuclear missles on cuba threatening US's safety, and almost started a nuclear war. This is constant because nothing actually ended up happening. Although, it is change because it was one of the very first threats with Nuclear Bombs, that began the tradition of Nuclear Threats.
  • Fall of the Soviet Union

    Officially the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, this collapse left all fifteen republics of the Soviet Union as independent sovereign states. The dissolution of the world's largest communist state also marked an end to the Cold War. This is change because it ended another 'war.' After the years of debates of the Cold War, it finally ended. There has not been as big of a verbal war then the cold war since.
  • 9/11 Terrorist Attack

    On September 11th 2002, two commercial planes hit the World Trade Center in New York. This was a mark of a terrorism war in the world and on the United States.
