Greaser and Socs first fighting in story.
As he walks, he notices a red car trailing him. The car pulls up beside Ponyboy and five Socs climb out and surround him. One of them pulls out a blade. The Socs begin to beat up Ponyboy. Ponyboy’s brothers chase away the Socs.
(They first fighting explain the Greaser and Socs's relationship are not very well.) -
Johnny killed Bob to rescue Ponyboy, Dally told they should escaped to the church.
Ponyboy and Johnny go walking beside the fountain. Suddenly the boys see the blue car from earlier that night. Five Socs, including Randy and Bob, jump out of the car and approach them. Bob tells Ponyboy that greasers are white trash with long hair. A Soc grabs Ponyboy and holds his head under the frigid water of the fountain. Ponyboy feels himself drowning. At last, Johnny kills the Bob. Ponyboy and Johnny are going to find the Dally. (Johnny killed Bob,they need run away to church and hide) -
The greasers’ two main rules.
Herry and her friend Marcia invite Ponyboy and Johnny to watch the movie with them. Two-Bit comes to announce that Dally has slashed Tim Shepard’s tires and is going to have to fight him. Two-Bit explains the greasers’ two main rules: always stick together and never get caught. -
Ponyboy run into red-haired girl.
The next night, Ponyboy and Johnny go with Dally to drive-in movie theater. They sit behind a pair of Soc girls, and Dally begins to talk dirty in the girls. The girl with red hair tells him to stop. Dally goes to buy Cokes, and Ponyboy talks to the red-haired girl, Cherry Valance. Dally comes back and offers a Coke to Cherry, but she throws it in his face. Dally tries to put his arm around her. Johnny stuns Dally by telling him not to bother the girls. -
Ponyboy contend with Bob
Ponyboy, Two-Bit, and Johnny walk to Two-Bit’s house with Cherry and Marcia so that they can give the girls a ride home. As they walk, they see a car belongs to Bob and Randy, Cherry’s and Marcia’s Soc boyfriends. The greasers and Socs nearly get into a fight, but the girls agree to leave with their boyfriends to prevent violence. Ponyboy walks home and finds Darry furious with him for staying out so late.(Ponyboy contend with Bob bedding why they killed Bod) -
Johnny to buy some food for their church life.
The next morning, Ponyboy wakes in the church and finds a note from Johnny saying that he has gone into town to get supplies. When Johnny returns, he brings a week’s supply of baloney and cigarettes, and a paperback copy of Gone with the Wind, which he wants Ponyboy to read to him. -
The boys have a big change in church.
Ponyboy dry his hair to yellow and cut it. And the Johnny cut his hair to short. They wash the hair and make them don't look like too mass and greasy。(they have change is important) -

For the next week, the boys hide out at the church, reading Gone with the Wind, smoking, and eating sandwiches. Later, Ponyboy recites a poem, “Nothing Gold Can Stay.” The poem touches Johnny. （This part make story more Connect them together.） -
The boys talk in church.
They talks about the hero in their heart. And the Johnny divine Dally. But I don't like Dally in our greasy's. It's because I think Dally unfeeling.(they talk with each other ,they are not alone so that they can share with each other) -
Dally get back to find the boys and they were be hurt.
After five days, Dally finds the Ponyboy and Johnny show them a letter to Ponyboy from Sodapoop. Then he takes Johnny and Ponyboy to the DQ and tells them some about the outside. When they go home. As they drive past the church where Ponyboy and Johnny have been staying, they see that it is on fire. They go into the church, and save the children in the fire. When Ponyboy wakes, but the doctor tells them Johnny will be permanently crippled. (It's a turning point in story.For about they change.) -
Johnny wants to go home.
Johnny shocks Dally by telling him he wants to confess to his crime. Dally tells him he never want to see Johnny hardened the way prison would harden him. Johnny is adamant and points out that his own parents would not care what happens to him, but Ponyboy’s brothers want to care about him. (Dally go to find the boys, told to Johnny and told him our Ponyboy's brother all care about him. ) -
Country will charge Johnny with manslaughter and send both Ponyboy and Johnny to juvenile court
The next morning, Ponyboy is making breakfast when Steve Randle and Two-Bit come in with the morning papers. The papers portray Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally as heroes for rescuing the schoolchildren. And country will charge Johnny with manslaughter and send both Ponyboy and Johnny to juvenile court. (The country change the boys, make they for free. It's because they saved the children. That make a big miage in pepole eyes.) -
The greasers win the Socs, and Johnny died in the hospital.
Dally, Ponyboy , and some of Darry’s high school friend. Darry steps forward to start the fight, and steps up to challenge him. After a long struggle, the greasers win. When the greaser win, Dally and Ponyboy go to the hospital to see Johnny. Johnny moans that fighting is useless, tells Ponyboy to “stay gold,” and then dies. (The greasers win the Socs, they think they can have the place. But Johnny doesn't think this. He think we can't fight. We need the place.) -
Dally do some crazy things, because he don't understand Johnny's mean.
Dally calls and says he just robbed a grocery store and is running from the police. It’s because Dally takes the gun, so the police shoot him. In the end, Dally dead. And Ponyboy fall in a faint.

Ponyboy collapsed and stay at home one week.
Nothing happend in this part. Ponyboy collapsed at home and his brother Darry and Soda look after him.（This part make story more Connect them together.） -
Randy talk to ponyboy about the hearing scheduled.
Ponyboy is restricted to bed rest for a week after he wakes up from his concussion. Randy arrives at the house and talk to ponyboy about the hearing scheduled for next day. (Randy told to the Ponyboy and they can't fight earch other. It can explanation they will be find.And some thing are gong.) -
Judge acquits him of all wrongdoing, let them go home.
Ponyboy does not have to speak much at the hearing, and then the judge asks Ponyboy a few gentle questions about his home life and then acquits him of all wrongdoing and allows him to return home with his brothers. Ponyboy’s English teacher says that although Ponyboy is failing,he can raise his grade to C by writing about them. (In the end, the Greasers win the Socs in the court. And explanation they are guiltless.) -
Darry contend with Ponyboy. Finally, they try to understand each other.
That night as Ponyboy and Darry contend about Ponyboy’s grades, Sodapop runs out of the house. In the end, they try to understand each other. Ponyboy begins to works on THE OUTSIDERS.
