    When i was two i sang my first ABC's. I first saw this video years later but i saw the same spark in my eyes that i see now whme i read.

    When i was in Kindergarten the class used to read these little white printed passages where we would learn to sound out words and underline words we were not familiar with.

    In first grade I remember reading at a fourth grade level. when i was in first grade i was reading small chapter books and this really opened my eyes to the world of literature.

    i’m third grade we took a family trip to the national air and space museum and i remember finally being able to read about the planes and feeling super happy that i can’t start to teach myself by reading.

    When i got home from the vacation i discovered my first very strong passion in reading and that was history. after reading about the planes i fell in love with learning about the wars and battles they were in and teaching myself more about the history through the pages of a book

    when i got to 5th grade i was finally being challenged to use my reading skills and put them onto paper. we read a book in class and answered questions and wrote papers to help understand the passage

    in eighth grade we started doing major papers. in years before we were learning how to make paragraphs and write full papers but this year taught me to really read the book and annotate to come back to make my essay easier which also made my reading comprehension better and i started to seriously enjoy reading.

    As a freshman i was nervous about the reading level and the stress of reading assignments but my ELA teacher Ms.A helped me learn to stay focused and break up the book to make it more time efficient which is still a skill i use today.
