Missouri Compromise
Prohibited slavery above the 36 Latitude. It added Missoruri as a Slave State putting more of an advantage of Slave states (which Georgia is involived in) over the free states -
Nullification
Declared the Federal Tarriffs of 1828 and 1832 null and void. It was a main cause of the Civil War which destroyed the South. -
Compromise of 1850
Allowed California and other states to enter the Union. This ultimatley led to the start of the CIvil War. -
Kansas-Nebraska Act
Allowed Kansas and Nebraska to enter the Union freely. It upset the balance of Slave States to Free States and helped cause the Civil War, that left Geogia severely damaged. -
Dredd Scott Case
Dredd Scott (a slave) was taken over by his master into a free state, therefore; he sued him under the terms that he was free. The Supreme Court ruled a proposal that slaves could be brought into free states, causing fighting that led to the CIvil War. -
Election of 1860
In this heated election, famed President Abraham Lincoln won election. He was a major contributor to the end of slavery in the south declining the economy.
