    Anne Frank was born June 12th, 1929 in Frankfurt Germany to parents Otto and Edith Frank. She had one older sister Margot.

    Hitler becomes chancller of Germany and establishes the first anti-Jewish laws. The first concentration camp is opened Oranienburg outside Berlin and Dachau is also opened. The Otto Frank decides to leave Germany because of Natzi rule and head for Holland leaving his family behind in Germany.

    Germany passes the Nuremburg Race Law which doesn't allow Jews to do much of anything. German Jews cannot have citizenship, cannot own a buiseness or have a right to education.

    The Night of Broken Glass or Kristallnacht, is when German citizens burned and looted 7000 Jewish businesses, homes and synogogues. 30,000 Jews were then arrested and sent to concentration camps. Also that year the U.S. and other countries met to decide if they were going to help the Jewish refugees, but no country helped them.

    In 1940 the Germans ordered that Jewish children could attend only Jewish schools. Then one year later, Dutch Jews are forbidden access to movie theaters or use public transport preventing Anne Frank from enjoying her favorite pastime and all Dutch Jews were forced to wear a yellow Star of David. Also in Dec. 1941, Pearl Harbor was attacked and the Japanese declared war on the U.S.

    "On January 6 Anne's mother, Edith Frank dies of starvation at Auschwitz and just 21 days later The Russian Allies liberate the remaining survivors in Auschwitz, including Otto Frank. In March Margot Frank dies of typhus in Bergen-Belson and shortly after Anne follow suit. On April 30 Hitler commits suicide with his wife of two days, Eva Braun, their bodies are believed to have been cremated.
