Early Life
Anne Frank was born on June,12 1929. Anne was a Jew in Frankfurt, Germany. The Franks were a typical upper middle-class, German-Jewish family. Anne lived in a family of four, her only sibling being Margret Frank, mother Edith Frank, and father Otto Frank. -
Beginning of Hitler's Dictatorship
Near the beginning of Hitler's dictatorship the Franks didn't believe in his antisemitism did not believe that Hitler would gain power like he did. But of course they were wrong. -
Antisemitism
As Hitler was gaining more and more power his hatred for Jewish People started to show. Hitler began to make laws not allowing Jewish People to live as freely as before. Jewish People had to wear The Star Of David. This was known as a escape code to blame for they're suffering. -
The Secret Annex
Before the Franks go into hiding they and a few co-workers from Otto Frank's old company were he had worked. Helped designed a secret compartment above in the attic of the building. -
Frank's Diary
Anne received a diary for her 13th birthday she fell in love with it and wrote in it everyday. Anne wrote to her imaginary friend Kitty. -
Anne Goes Into Hiding
In 1942 the Franks go into hiding fearing their lives will be taken before they even began. -
In The Camp
While Anne was in the camp she was seen by two of her old friend, who described her as scruffy and sad. -
Death
Anne and her sister Margot died in 1944. Margot first then Anne shortly after. -
After Death
After her death Otto Frank found her diary and published it but only after a lot of debate. Otto Frank didn't want to publish Anne's diary but co-workers who knew about the Secret Annex and pushed Otto to publish the diary. Also as the diary was spreading like wildfire among many different counties people learned about Anne Frank and she is now an inspiration to all. -
The Decision
After WWII ended in 1945 and Otto was given liberty he returned to what was left of his old home which had kept him safe just not for long enough. Otto found the Diary which he was mainly convinced into publishing but the last straw for him to publish was a reminder of what Anne had always wanted to be... A writer. Otto made his chose he was going to publish. -
The Publishing
Otto Frank published the diary named The Diary Of A Young Girl
it was one of the best selling titles and is printed in about 70 different languages many learned of the story Anne Frank.
