Integration Review
I felt pretty good about today's review, I remembered pretty much everything, especially once we went over it. I just need to make sure I remember the formula for trapezoidal sums and all of the arc-trig antidifferentiations. -
Diffy Q's Review
I remembered learning everything we went over--nothing seemed unfamiliar. I feel confident with everything except logistics, so I need to make sure I look over those specifically. I remember the just of them, but I'm not as comfortable with them as I'd like to be. -
Infinite Series Review
As we went over everything about infinite series, it started to come back to me. I just need to make sure that I'm completely positive on when to use each test, particularly the integral test and the lc test. -
Taylor Polynomials Review
Although I was sick on Wednesday, I still feel pretty good about Taylor Polynomials. I know how to handle them, I just need to re-memorize all of the ones for basic functions on the green sheet and their radii of convergence. -
Practice Test
Overall, I felt like this section of the practice test went pretty well. I knew what to do for most of them, except the one asking about the movement of the particle left us a little unsure in our answers. Either way, I felt prepared going into it and there was no question that left me completely lost. -
Studying
Although I wasn't in class to work on the practice test, I worked on the homework assignments, particularly the blue packet. I remembered pretty much everything about series, but I didn't remember the definitions of the derivative or finding domain and range as well. -
Free Response
Overall, I feel like the free response went pretty well. Even without the help of a partner, I felt confident in almost all of my answers. Nothing looked unfamiliar or unsolvable, which is always a good thing. Some questions were trickier than others, but all in all I feel good about my work. -
Multiple Choice
The multiple choice today went really well; only one question stumped us, and that was the Lagrange Remainder. Neither of us were completely sure of the formula, but we tried to remember it and get a solution that was one of the choices. Other than that, though, we felt confident in our answers. -
Advanced Integration
I feel pretty good about integration techniques; I just need to remember that I can add a + and - an integer to make certain rules work. But parts and partial fractions are fine--I remember how to do them both. As long as I remember LIPET for the more difficult problems, I'm fine! -
Volumes/Surfaces of Revolution
I feel comfortable with these, as long as I remember that the disc method goes with pi and the shell method goes with 2 pi. But the processes themselves are fine; I remember the representative rectangles, R and r, and for shell, when to use x or y in the integral. Cross sections were fine too, with the exception of that one tricky problem with the triangle and semi circle. -
Partner Test
I'm pleased with how Emily and I performed. Neither one of us was dominant on the test; it was collaborative, and we both found the answers together. It was helpful to see the commonly missed questions because we missed some of them. I know now, or recall, that I need to check undefined as well for critical numbers and possible extrema/POIs.
